Sunday 28 April 2024 - The Run for Rural Medicine is a fundraiser hosted by UBC medical students to bring awareness to the challenges of accessing healthcare in rural areas. This year we're hosting both an in-person event and virtual run/cycle event that is open to anyone in the province. The Vancouver site will have a 5km run/walk, with the option for a 10km run/walk or bike ride. We will be donating all proceeds to Hope Air, a registered national charity that provides complimentary flights for rural Canadians who must travel to access healthcare in urban centres but cannot afford the airline ticket costs.
