The mysterious territory that lies between pre-organized sound and music - the common ground shared by acoustic and electronic music… these will be explored.. Event detailsThe concert will feature the world premieres of Vancouver native James O’Callaghan’s Subject-Object, and Giorgio Magnanensi’s TDU XXI. Standing Wave will also perform Laurie Anderson’s seminal electro-pop classic O Superman, arranged by Alfredo Santa Ana. Standing Wave will be joined by special guests including the legendary Veda Hille!Standing Wave is an ensemble of six exceptional musicians who perform contemporary music with virtuosity and style, cutting across musical landscapes with sharpness, wit and intelligence. The ensemble is equally comfortable performing complex chamber compositions, new music and works with electro-acoustics.
